Poncha Pass, CO The route over Poncha Pass connects the Marshall Pass main line with the San Luis Valley and Alamosa. Otto Mears began a toll road along the route in 1867. This was the first of many of Mears roads in Colorado. There was a 33 car siding and turning wye at Poncha Pass. It was also the location of the first depot south of Mears Junction. |
