Kremmling, CO On the western edge of Middle Park, Kremmling lies in a great valley along the confluence of Muddy Creek, the Blue River and the Colorado River. It is bordered by the Arapaho, Routt and White River national forests. Rudolph Kremmling established a trading post at the town site to serve Pioneers traveling west across Rollins Pass. Some of them, upon seeing the lush greenery along the Colorado River decided to settle in the valley. In 1904 the town was incorporated and in 1905 the Denver Northwestern and Pacific railroad built into town. To celebrate the railroad's arrival, the townsfolk threw a big bash with a free fish fry, elk and antelope barbeque and a public reading of the Declaration of Independence
